Hi Friends,

I want to configure SSL with my Web Application which is hosted on Tomcat 7.

After registering myself at startssl.com, I am done with my Identity Validation, Email Validation and Domain Validation.

Then in Certificate Wizard, I selected Certificate Target as "Webserver SSL/TLS certificate" and continued the steps which finally gave me 4 files as given below: -

1) ssl.crt
2) ssl.key
3) ca.pem
4) sub.class1.server.ca.pem

Now after this I am not getting any clue how to configure these with Tomcat. Any help is highly appreciable.

Regards,
Nilesh

Hi!

I have no experience with tomcat but this seems to be a detailed explanation (first Google hit for 'tomcat ssl').

Good luck,
Olaf

Thanks Olaf for your reply.

I realized that I need to go with different approach all together.
Anyways, now the problem I am facing from last 3 days is that I am not able to navigate to the StartSSL Control Panel at all.
The error message its giving as below -

Quote:
An error occurred during a connection to auth.startssl.com.

Peer does not recognize and trust the CA that issued your certificate.

(Error code: ssl_error_unknown_ca_alert)

Anything wrong?

Regards,
Nilesh
